Due to sharp increases in silver and other metal prices over the past year (2025), my silversmith will be sunsetting the production of cast clips, rollstops, and silver tubing once his current stock is depleted.
• What this means for you: Cast silver, brass, & bronze clips, rollstops, and silver bands are now available on a “while supplies last” basis.
Scriptorium Pens has a wide selection of hand cast clips, as well as standard steel clips.
Our original clip designs are hand cast using the lost wax method and are made from Silver, Brass, or Bronze. Mike Redburn of Silver Pen Parts is the silversmith for these clips.
Note: Argentium Silver is used for silver clips. It is much less prone to tarnishing than Sterling Silver and has a higher content of actual silver than Sterling Silver.
